In 2005 Tim Marsh, Chairman and HK Mo, CEO of Serisys realized that with the continued evolution and deregulation of the capital markets in Asia combined with under-investment in IT, there would be a growing need for world class solutions. With Hong Kong’s Special Administrative Region status within the People’s Republic of China and importance as a international financial centre, it seemed the natural place to found Serisys - on July 4th, 2006. Tim and HK Mo worked together at UBS. Nick Rowland, Director, Business Development, after living in Hong Kong for 20 years joined the business in 2008. Nick worked with Tim at Standard Chartered and with HK at IBM. We were delighted that Tim Rhodes, the father of the Syn~ platform for our back office solutions joined our Board in November 2008. All of our directors are both industry and IT veterans.
This leadership team soon established that Serisys is the only IT services firm focused on capital markets customers in China, Japan and Asia. By November 2006, we had opened a Tokyo office and seven months later gained our first Japanese client. In July 2008 we opened our Singapore office to serve our Singapore-based clients.
We continue to grow fast and serve clients across Asia with application implementation, system integration, and 24*7 support of mission critical applications.
